Please join us on Saturday, April 26th at 9:00 am – 1:00 pm to clean up our neighbourhood! This is part of the City of Ottawa’s Cleaning the Capital initiative. The rain date is scheduled for Sunday, April 27th.
As most of you have noticed, the recent wind has created quite the mess on our streets and at the ravine. I’m really hoping we can all band together to clean up the streets and paths!
Thank you so much to everyone that is cleaning up all the debris on their property. If we all do our part, we can get everything looking beautiful for the nice weather!
Please let us know of any trouble spots that need extra attention. That way when people ask us where to go we can direct them to those areas.
Board members will be out at 9:00am on both sides of Cope distributing gloves and garbage bags provided by the city. Please bring your rubber boots as it might be soggy! If you have a wagon, it might be a good idea to throw your recycling bin and garbage bag in it. It will make it easier to wheel down the path.
Even if you just half a short time to help, every effort is appreciated. There is no need to stay for the length of the event, just do what you can.
As an added bonus, CIBC will be hosting a BBQ for us at 1:00pm to thank the volunteers! Join us in the CIBC Fernbank parking lot for delicious food!
Let’s get our neighbourhood cleaned up so we can enjoy it this summer!
